The Great American Solor Eclipse occurs on April 8, 2024, six years, eight months and seventeen days following the last Solar Eclipse that crossed America on August 21, 2017. What might this mean from a Biblical perspective? Genesis 1:14 is very clear that God placed the sun, moon and stars in the sky for signs and seasons. So perhaps this is a time we should be looking for signs from God. More people are turning back to God and seeking a sign that God is still with us.
“Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.” But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” NKJV Matthew 12:38-39
America once stood out among other nations as the model of rule of law, individual freedom, and a brave courageous spirit among people who gave charitably worldwide and defended the weak and vulnerable. Sadly, as a Natiom America has lost her way and lost cherished freedoms, military and economic strength. America no longer seems to know or care about its proud history and the trials it overcame to be beacon of liberty for the world, or even cares to affirm the values for which she once stood. Today’s America is culturally devoid of national purpose and has willingly participated in destroying the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the strong Judeo-Christian foundation on which our Nation was founded. America’s founding documents were created with the Lord Jesus Christ in mind as the foundation of this nation. Yet, many Americans today have turned away from God as their foundation, don’t believe God plays an active role in their lives, and seek secular answers for today’s problems and challenges.
Turning away from God and turning TO government as our “authority” over our lives makes us vulnerable to being led astray with fear-mongering. And that is exactly what is happening with Eclipse 2024!
The media hype and fear mongering about this 2024 Solar Eclipse is way over-the-top. States declaring “state of emergency,” calling out the National Guard, while media talking heads are breathlessly putting out dire warnings of food shortages, communications outages, loss of cell phones and internets and fuel shortages – all due to normal Solar Eclipse? What is this nonsense all about? Do you think the government is up to something else and using the Solar Eclipse as an excuse?
Solar eclipses are not that unusual. There are approximately two to five partial eclipses each year, and total eclipses happen about every 18 months. But have you ever before seen all this hype about the dire consequences of an eclipse? No. And the last total eclipse across the USA was in 2017 eclipse, and there were no such warnings, no disruption in food supplies, cell phone or internet service, and no fuel shortages.
Perhaps all the fear mongering about the 2024 Eclipse is designed to distract us from something else the nefarious government agencies that cooked up the COVID plandemic are up to plans to disrupt an election year. Perhaps the 2024 eclipse is the culmination of God’s signs to us. Of course, the enemy wants us distracted from the real meaning of the eclipse, the sign, so he distracts us with fear.
Interestingly two different broods of cicadas are going to hatch out this April in the same geographical area around the “Little Egypt” intersection of the 2017 and 2024 total Solar eclipses. The two cicada broods (Brood XIII and Brood XIX) haven’t hatched out at the same time since 1803, which is 221 years ago. It is expected that billions, possibly trillions of cicadas will hatch out from this.
This event will again remind America of the biblical plagues in Egypt. Should we fear this event, as it could mean great destruction to crops and plants? Or should we embrace it, as these cicadas, which might seem destructive at first, may provide a necessary cleansing for our land? It can’t be overlooked that the glorious singing that will come from these creatures, their tunes and vibrations, may change things on a spiritual level, like when believers worship the Lord Jesus Christ.
Mark Biltz the Author of Blood Moons Decoding the Imminent Heavenly Signs felt strongly about the 2017 eclipse being reminiscent of the sign of Jonah, like Christ expressed to the pharisees in Mathew 12:38-39. He may be even more convinced knowing this 2024 eclipse will be passing over 7 Ninevah cities in America. Mark has a gift for reading the heavenly signs and he was calling for repentance in 2017.
In a WMD exclusive article, Mark described the Bur-Sagle eclipse, which has been verified by NASA and occurred on June 15, 763 BC. The path of totality was directly over Nineveh. This most likely would have preceded Jonah’s arrival by just months or weeks. Mark states, “Given the fact that this solar eclipse was one of the most noteworthy events to [have] occurred during the reign of Ashur-Dan III, it has prompted many theologians to suggest that the occurrence of the Bur-Sagle eclipse was the primary reason why the Ninevites were so keen to repent upon hearing Jonah’s message of doom – a curious reaction which is left unexplained in the book of Jonah itself.”
He continued, “the Assyrian chronicles inform us that a plague had broken out in the city of Nineveh just a few years before the eclipse 765 BC, which was soon followed by an internal revolt which began during the very same year that the eclipse occurred – a series of events which would undoubtedly have been attributed to the wrath of the gods.”
Does this sound familiar? A plague breaks out followed by revolt, then a solar eclipse, and then people are ready to repent.
Did you know the first Covid shot going into an American’s arm was on December 14, 2020, and took place directly in the middle of both the 2017 and 2024 eclipses? It is exactly 1211 days from August 21, 2017 to December 14, 2020, and another 1211 days from Dec 14, 2020 to April 8,2024. Numerically, 1-2-1-1 add up to 5, the Biblical number symbolic of God’s Grace. Very interesting connections.
And then this, from attorney Jeff Childers April 6 newsletter, Coffee and Covid: “In other words, hours after I wrote a post about coincidences and earthquakes related to the upcoming eclipse on April 8th — “4/8” — New York experienced a once-in-a-lifetime 4.8 magnitude shaker. For context, the next strongest quake New York City folk have experienced was a 4.2 magnitude rumble in the late 1890’s. Monday’s eclipse will pass right by and right over New York City. The coincidences suggest a famous Biblical verse: Exodus 4:8 warns, and I am not making this up: Then the Lord said, “If they do not believe you or pay attention to the first sign, they may believe the second.”
Perhaps this eclipse on April 8th is changing Americans’ way of thinking, and leading more people to pay attention to the Biblical connections and God’s signs to us. Join Major Mike Gary and Dr. Vliet as they discuss the Biblical perspective on the 2024 Eclipse.
America is now in a very similar situation as Ninevah, whom Jonah called to repent in order to escape God’s judgment and the destruction of their city. America, it is time for the body of Christ to take heed in Christ’s warning to the “Sign of Jonah” and repent.
On April 8, 2024, we urge you to pray and meditate on this Scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
