OSHA regulation states any time Oxygen drops below 19.5% is considered Immediately Dangerous to Health and Life (IDLH). Major Gary explains readings with an oxygen detector and the space between the mask and face would exceed the OSHA IDLH threshold and worsen with prolonged mask wearing.
As a fifteen-year Hazmat Technician, Major Gary explains surgical masks and N-95 masks are meant to be worn for minutes, not hours on end. Preventive Medicine Officer 1Lt Mark Bashaw validates this information and explains the health risks from prolonged mask-wearing, which also reinforce bad habits like constantly touching the mask and face, ultimately bringing more germs to the face!
ALL US citizens have the legal right to refuse to wear these masks, and all employees are protected by the federal laws within 21 U.S.C. Sec. 360bbb-3 and 10 U.S.C. Sec. 1107a, as well as the mask emergency use authorization letters.

LTC Jon Cheek serves in the US Army and has almost 19 years of active federal service. He currently serves in the Pentagon as a strategic plans and policy officer. Jon and his wife (Judy) actively fought multiple fights over unlawful masking policies at military hospitals in the DC/Northern Virginia area. Judy was 36 weeks pregnant and was denied care/entry to a military hospital even though she presented all relevant laws to the individual denying her entry. She stated that she had the legal right to refuse and again showed all employees the federal laws within 21 U.S.C. Sec. 360bbb-3 and 10 U.S.C.
