Dr. Vliet’s Health Tip: URGENT ALERT! FOIA RISK DATA Reveals New Threat for Dogs, Cats and Their Owners

If you have a dog or cat living with you in your home, you MUST read this ALERT, based on the EXCLUSIVE post on X 04/17/26 from The Highwire, based on the article written by Steven Middendorp (link to full article below).  Del Bigtree and The Highwire team submitted FOIA requests for the risk data on the new self-replicating mRNA vaccines for dogs and cats, APPROVED BY THE FDA in June 2024, but this was done quietly, without any public attention to this move.

Even more despicable, I think, is that much of the pre-approval safety trial data were withheld from public scrutiny under the guise of “confidential commercial information” provided by Merck. Where have we seen that tactic before?  That’s right – with Pfizer and the COVID shot adverse event data that they tried to keep suppressed for 75 years!

I was shocked and appalled to see the terrifying list of adverse consequences to our pets from this new experimental self-replicating series of mRNA products Merck is now selling.  Risks include death within hours following one of these shots in addition to ongoing health damage to pets and to the people living with them.

In the Highwire post on X, I learned that “The Highwire Team has received and analyzed over 1,000 pages of adverse event reports were obtained from the USDA through their FOIA request. They cover Nobivac NXT H3N2, the first self-amplifying RNA vaccine widely used on pets in the United States.  The data covers September 2024 through July 2025 and documents 296 cases listing the vaccine as a suspect product, including deaths, neurological events, anaphylaxis, collapse, and injection-site masses. A 4-year-old golden retriever went into cardiac arrest and died ten minutes after receiving the shot. A 7-year-old Yorkshire Terrier collapsed seventy minutes after vaccination and could not be saved.”

I have been concerned about the dangers of the self-replicating mRNA COVID shots for humans already rolled out in several countries overseas. Speaking as a physician seeing hundreds of COVID-injection injured patients and trying to find ways to help mitigate the damage they have experienced, I have been even more alarmed about the dangers of the self-replicating versions. These work quite differently from both the earlier mRNA COVID shots, and definitely differently from traditional vaccines.

In these new versions, which I think are even more damaging than the first COVID shots, the RNA replicates itself inside the body to keep producing the mRNA ostensibly to “produce a sustained immune response” but the ongoing mRNA production serves to perpetuate the damage with ongoing mRNA-induced inflammation and potential for genetic mutations leading to serious health consequences, including cancers, dementia, and early death.   As recently as April 2025, researchers have written that they don’t even know all the mechanisms involved with these self-replicating mRNA shots, they are not fully understood, they clearly need way more clinincal study and long term safety studies before being released for injection into people.

Now I find that the USDA has released them for use in our pets without the critical safety studies being done! I am outraged, and greatly concerned for our pets we love as part of our family who have no voice to advocate for themselves! To me this is an egregious additional violation of the public trust.

Here is additional specific information I have been able to find in my quick investigation since I read the Highwire Post on Friday, April 17. I plan to do a Faith Over Fear entire seminar on this topic in the next few weeks, so stay tuned.  Meanwhile, here are some critical facts, gleaned from the safety documents just released.

Kudos and much appreciation to @ValerieAnne1970 on X who has been sounding the alarm on Merck’s Nobivac NXT self amplifying set of 3 vaccines (Rabies, Canine flu & Feline leukemia) since they were approved under the radar in 2024.  I am grateful for her diligent work and concise summary, which I have included below for our readers.  Follow her work on X @ValerieAnne1970. I concur with her that all 3 of these self-replicating mRNA “vaccines”  are extremely dangerous. Watch out America, be diligent and protect your pets!

1. Nobivac NXT Rabies (for dogs AND cats): This self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) turns your pet’s own cells into rabies protein factories. It doesn’t just “train” the immune system — it hijacks cells, replicates the rabies blueprint, and spreads through organs and the brain.  Trial side effects include aggression, biting, excessive drooling, seizures, vertigo, paralysis, and death — symptoms indistinguishable from actual rabies.

   Safety monitoring? Only 14 days. No long-term studies. Zero data on human transmission or shedding. And rabies has been virtually eradicated in the U.S. since 2007.”

   Dr. Vliet Comment and CRITICAL QUESTION FOR PET OWNERS TO CONSIDER: Why are we gambling with self-spreading mRNA injections that could turn a simple dog’s lick or a cat scratch into the next exposure vector for all of us around them?

2. Nobivac NXT FeLV (feline leukemia for cats). This one replicates a leukemia virus blueprint inside your cat’s body. FeLV already affects fewer than 2% of cats naturally, yet Merck is turning healthy cats into RNA factories.  Adverse events in trials hit 2.7%. No long-term cancer data. No shedding studies. No reversal method if it goes wrong. Your indoor cat doesn’t need this — but Big Pharma needs the revenue.
3. Nobivac NXT Canine Flu H3N2 (for dogs).  Self-amplifying flu RNA that spreads through saliva. Most dogs never even show symptoms of canine flu naturally — yet now we’re injecting something that can shed and potentially jump species.   No multi-year safety data. No independent peer review. Just Merck’s word and a quick 14-day trial (bold mine).

NOTE: Merck’s own lab ran the tests — no independent lab, no long-term follow-up, and no peer review. In the experimental study, they used 38 dogs and cats… and 35 of them were euthanized after just two weeks. (italics and bold mine – this is appalling!) That’s not science — that’s a massive red flag.
This is Merck’s new cash cow, plain and simple. No reversal switch. No long-term safety studies. No accountability if it sheds from your pet to your family, your other animals, or even wildlife. Your dog’s happy kiss or your cat’s playful scratch could now be the delivery system.”

Then @ValerieAnne1970 provided suggestions for what you can do RIGHT NOW to protect your pets. As a devoted dog and cat owner and concerned people doctor, I agree, we should avoid using these dangerous products for our pets, and WE MUST SPEAK UP FOR THEM.  WE ARE THE ONLY ADVOCATES THEY HAVE!!

• Tell your vet NO. Ask for the full insert. Demand to know if it’s Nobivac NXT or any self-amplifying mRNA product.  
• Seek holistic veterinarians who respect your right to informed consent.  

We already know what happens when we blindly trust the system with experimental shots. Don’t let them repeat the experiment on the animals who depend on us most.”
I plan to do more programs on all this in the near future – both on the health risks to our pets and to those of us who love and work with them.

In the meantime, and especially if you have already fallen prey to Veterinary practitioners injecting your pets with one of these self-replicating mRNA experimental and risky vaccines, it is critically important to focus on strengthening the immune system of your pets, AND everyone in your household!  Here are some of our suggestions to strengthen your immune system!
