TUCSON, AZ, June 10, 2023 The Covid vaccine mandate has been rescinded yet top
Department of Defense officials in the Biden Administration are continuing their
systemic destruction of our military by retaliating against the unvaccinated and those
who applied for religious exemptions to the COVID shots and forcing them out of the
military, often with General Discharges that threatens future civilian employment.
“It took an act of Congress to direct the end of the Covid vaccine mandate, yet the DoD
continues with unabated retaliatory and punishing actions against our most experienced
military service members across all branches of our Armed Forces,” said Elizabeth Lee
Vliet, MD, President and CEO of Truth for Health Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity
whose mission is defending core Constitutional and human rights and individual medical
freedom. “Department of Defense shadow policies from the top down continue the
relentless multiple-pronged harms to service members, particularly Christians and those
who stand for the Oath to the Constitution. This purging of more than 10,000 highly
trained service members is causing catastrophic damage to America’s military readiness
at a time when tensions are rising worldwide, America’s enemies are threatening on
many fronts, and our national security is in dire jeopardy,” Vliet said.

Retaliation and punishment of service members are ongoing in unimaginable ways,
despite the rescission of the vaccine mandate. Examples include security
clearances summarily cancelled: weaponization of Behavioral Health, Family Advocacy
Services and Child Protective Services against service members and their families in
clear violations of federal whistleblower protection statutes; members kicked to Inactive
Ready Reserve status with no pay, no benefits and no credit for time; harassment and
career-ending reprimands. Among vaccinated service members, vaccine complications
and injuries leading to medical discharges due to inability to function have skyrocketed,
adding ongoing damage to miliary readiness.
More alarming for national security, thousands of service members were abruptly
severed from the military altogether in spite of exemplary careers in critical service
roles, such as pilots, medical professionals, CBRN officers and other highly skilled
personnel. Thousands more have been so demoralized, they did not re-enlist or applied
for early retirement. Recruiting is far below critically needed replacement levels.
Truth for Health Foundation gives our military a platform to expose corruption of military
law and dangers to our national security when the lives of our service members are in
jeopardy with dangerous, politically-driven policies pushed by Department of Defense.
The Foundation’s Medical Freedom Legal Defense Program has provided several
hundred thousand dollars in legal defense grants, thanks to the generosity of donors.
“It is becoming clear that DoD leadership under the Biden Administration is yielding to
the globalist agenda and using the cloak of military secrecy and “shadow policies” to
persecute service members for objecting to the experimental COVID shots, then
replacing America’s experienced soldiers with woke-indoctrinated novices, severely
weakening American military readiness and national security,” explained Dr. Vliet.
America’s sons and daughters, who serve under the American Flag we celebrate today
and all that it stands for, have volunteered to serve our Nation, defend freedom and our
Constitutional Republic. They are continuing to pay a high price as their own
Constitutional rights are trampled upon by top Command officers who themselves took
an Oath to defend the Constitution. If our military service members are being abused to
this degree, and forced out of the military for exercising their Constitutional rights for a
religious or medical exemption to an experimental vaccine, who will stand in the gap
and defend all of our rights?
Our military members defend us. They deserve our support to defend them now against
the continued unjust punishment by their own Command. We must all stand against
tyranny and protect the freedoms endowed by our Creator and enshrined in America’s
founding documents.
