They are collecting your data but not presenting the methods to be used to correlate drug side effects with people\u2019s genetic makeup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another journey into fantasy land!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nor is it at all clear how they will be using\u2014or misusing\u2014the genetic data. Will it be used to prevent treatment based on certain genotypes or genetic conditions? Will the genetic data be sold to private parties without consent?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">None of these and more critical questions are being addressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/news\/mhra-and-genomics-england-to-launch-pioneering-resource-to-better-understand-how-genetic-makeup-influences-the-safety-of-medicines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>MHRA and Genomics England to launch pioneering resource to better understand how genetic makeup influences the safety of medicines<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Hedley Rees, <\/strong>based in the United Kingdom. Mr. Rees has been providing consultancy on developing, manufacturing, and distributing drugs that are fully compliant with the GMP requirements of 21 CFR Title 21 since 2005 through his company, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pharmaflowltd.com\/company\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PharmaFlow<\/a>. Before that, he spent 16 years in senior roles in Big Pharma (Bayer) and ten years in biotech (British Biotech, Vernalis, and OSI Pharmaceuticals (now Astellas). Mr. Rees also authored <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wiley.com\/en-us\/Supply+Chain+Management+in+the+Drug+Industry%3A+Delivering+Patient+Value+for+Pharmaceuticals+and+Biologics-p-9780470922842\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Supply Chain Management in the Drug Industry: Delivering Patient Value for Pharmaceuticals and Biologics<\/em><\/a> for Wiley, NJ, in 2011. His expertise is in the area of anything to do with manufacture through the three phases of clinical trials (and preclinical if required) and ongoing distribution of the commercial supply.
